In this restorative style yin yoga class, we will utilize theory based on the meridian clock, targeting specifically the liver and gallbladder meridians, to encourage a good night’s sleep.

Yin yoga is so much more than just a slow, gentle practice. Yin yoga works to ‘stress’ the tissues and appropriate amount, which can provide a level for discomfort that can help us to build the emotional muscle, that will strengthen our ability to handle life on life’s terms.

Each pair of meridians is connected to a specific emotion. The stomach and spleen meridians (earth element) are associated with worry and anxiety. By harmonizing chi flow in this pair of meridians, we are helping to balance our emotional wellbeing, from within.

This meridian class is designed to harmonize the flow of chi in the lung and large intestine meridians, helping to strengthen the metal element, responsible for enhancing our immunity.

This yin yoga sequence is a designed to creatively flow from one pose to the next, whilst offering runners the opportunity to release tension in their tired legs.
