Tin-Ming has been teaching yoga and exploring the relationship between body, breath and mind for years. He was certified as a yoga teacher in 2010 and has since spent time enthusiastically broadening and deepening his practice. Openness, curiosity and affection are the key qualities that Tin-Ming discovered along his yogic path. He has had the good fortune to study with senior teachers Bryan Legere, Carrie Owerko and Eyal Shifroni. Inspired by their philosophical teachings as well as those from many other knowledgeable teachers, Tin-Ming is grateful to have found the effective use of props (aerial hammock, blankets, blocks, bolsters, chair, strap and wall rope) to awaken the body-mind connection in yoga asana. He believes such centring and grounding sensation can be nurtured with consistent effort. Teaching a wide range of styles with passion and compassion, Tin-Ming’s classes are fused with fun and positivity. He empowers people of different levels to experience the relationship between discipline and playfulness during practice and embrace their own strengths to excel. Since 2019, he has organised training to spread the knowledge and teachings of yoga. Valentines‘s Day Special: Couple Yoga Dynamic
This special Duo yoga class should be considered as a complementary therapy or alternative method for medical therapy in the treatment of stress, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders as it has been shown to create a greater sense of well-being, increase feelings of relaxation, improve self-confidence and body image, improve efficiency, better interpersonal relationships, increase attentiveness, lower irritability, and encourage an optimistic outlook on life.
Active Recovery for Running & Hiking
This Specialised class focuses on stretching areas that are typically tight from running & hiking such as the hamstrings, IT band and hips. The aim is stabilising key functional areas like the knees and ankles, restoring typically sore areas, and working on breath exercises to centre the mind. Specific sets of postures and sequences make for a well-balanced class, combining both strength and flexibility for more integrated body functionality. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included.
This restorative practice aims at clearing fatigue and anxiety. Please prepare 2 yoga blankets, 2 yoga belts, 2 yoga blocks and 1 bolster for this practice.
In this class Tin- ming we guide you through how to improve some yoga basics asana.
A balancing asana is a pose in where you balance on one leg, or balance using your arms. These poses help to strengthen your hamstrings, calves, quads, glutes, and abs. Balance training is an obvious but often overlooked tool to help avoid falls and injuries.
Sun Salutations Preparation
This Dynamic class follows the tradition of honouring the auspicious number of 108 in Hinduism and Yoga, and is often performed in conjunction with seasonal changes such as the coming of a new year. This 45 mins class is focused on moving the body with the breath while developing endurance both mentally and physically, as the students perform 108 Sun Salutations A. The experience in this class is about building inner fire, leading to a cleansing and detoxifying feeling. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included.
