DESCRIPTION

This specialised class combines traditional yoga with upper body strength training. Using weights in traditional yoga poses helps to target specific muscles that are generally neglected in a yoga class, it also pushes your body to engage more muscles and develops upper body stability. While the weights we use in this class are light (0.5 kg), the challenge comes from using the weights while in a yoga posture, and thus increasing heart rate and muscle tone. Students can expect a well-rounded practice combining yoga, weight training and cardio. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included.
