Chakras run along the spine and are centres of life force energy (prana) associated with different physical and energetic areas of the body. When one or more of the chakras is over- or under-expressing its associated energy, it is thought to manifest as imbalances in the body, mind and spirit. An imbalanced chakra affects the physical region of the body and aspects of our spiritual and emotional selves with which it is associated. Each class in this series focuses on one chakra and uses poses, sequences, breathing and/or meditation practices to help bring that chakra into balance.
