Ujjawal has been practising Yoga since the age of 12. His interest and inherent skills were evident when he participated in various State and National Yoga competitions in India, often placing with the top spots. His passion for yoga changed his life completely. Inspired by his teachers Prof. Baishali and Prof. Prabir Karmakar (Founder of Karmakar institute of Yoga), Ujjawal studied at the Bihar School of Yoga and started teaching Yoga and further developing his skills in 2013. He got the opportunity to teach in Vietnam in 2015 and continued his learning and practice there as well. Ujjawal’s style of Yoga combines an emphasis on inner awareness, flow, physical alignment, breath work and mindfulness. He always encourages his students to stay calm and steady throughout their practice, motivating them to get stronger and try their best through his energetic yoga moves. A non-vinyasa-based asana practice focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for students with some yoga experience looking to have an invigorating experience. No full inversions are included in these classes. Some preparations for inversions and Level 2 postures may be introduced, with options for Level 1 students to ease the transition from Level 1 to Level 2 classes.
A dynamic practice focused on moving the body along with the breath. This yoga class brings an emphasis on fluidity and motion. Poses are generally held for short periods of time and highlight the rhythm of the breath and are encouraged with the purpose of aligning and focusing the mind. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for anyone looking to stretch their bodies with moderate physical effort. The focus of the class is more on stretching and awareness of body-breath synchronicity.
