Prateek began yoga at the age of five. He won countless yoga competitions at an international level and was awarded "Champion of Champions” in India. Prateek had a serious herniated disc injury which took him five years of therapeutic yoga practice to recover. His injury had awaken him to a new level of body awareness, and arose his interests beyond asanas which has enhanced his teaching methodology to incorporate yoga philosophy, also enabling him to making complex asanas into simple steps.
