Julie began taking up yoga in 2010. Years of yoga practice and her martial arts training since childhood have allowed Julie to discover new sensory perceptions as they arise. With each day’s passing, Julie continues to hold a strong curiosity for life and the world around her, igniting an even deeper love of living. Yoga is like a mirror in which she can see herself and her life as well these feelings and attitudes that imperceptibly influence her. Julie's practice and teaching style are deeply influenced by Richard Freeman and Heidi Chen, who led her to see the wisdom of combining hardness and softness in yoga and integrating it with life. It also made Julie realise the importance of anatomy and human logic in Asana and incorporating them into yoga teaching. Students can better understand the body’s structure from the perspective of fascia and anatomy, going deeper into each posture and breath based on the concept of alignment. Julie always believes that she is not a teacher in the classroom, but a sharer of feelings and experiences. She enjoys the process of communicating such insights through yoga and looks forward to more people bringing the wisdom on the yoga mat into their off-mat lives.
