Since he was young, Ian had been underweight and “scrawny”, weighing only 52kg at his heaviest. Ian has never been fond of fitness and paid no attention to his eating and lifestyle habits – until one day he decided that he’d had enough as he stared at his “skinny fat” self in the mirror. He started lifting weights with the main purpose of building muscle and looking good. Throughout his fitness journey, he did not have the privilege of having a PT and was self-taught using magazines and YouTube videos. Through trial and error and trying all sorts of fad diets, it took quite a while for Ian to sift through all the misinformation out there and finally build a physique that he was happy with. Nowadays, Ian firmly believes that leading a healthy lifestyle is not just about looking good but also taking care of one’s physical and mental well-being with the benefits lasting even as people age. Ian hopes to help people understand the advantages of maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle by imparting his knowledge to address the many myths about fitness.
