Before becoming a yoga teacher, Yisa was an office worker who worked at the airport. Due to prolonged periods of sitting, her health suffered. A gym flyer brought her into the yoga classroom and that first practice was a combination of relaxation and pleasure. It seemed to have opened another window in her life and thus, her relationship with yoga began. From the practice, she found that sub-par health greatly improved. With the deepening of her practice, she decided to develop yoga as a lifelong career in 2011. Yisa has studied with many teachers. For example, although Lance Schuler is not her enlightenment teacher, she learned about yoga tradition and the yogic lifestyle from him. From Bill, she learned how a teacher can teach every yoga class with gratitude and from David Kyle, she felt the humility of a master. Yisa is also grateful to have studied with elegant yoga teacher Briohny Smyth and learned master Jani who is also lovingly known as ‘Alien’. Yisa insists on daily practice and brings the variants of focus, power and relaxation from her personal practice into the classroom. Through this teaching method, she hopes to inspire every student and to maximise their strengths. Yisa treats every student with sincerity and actively conveys health, peace, tolerance and love.
